Any agent. Any body.
You already have someone. You built them, you talk to them every day, and they live in a chat window. OpenBodies gives them a face to wear and a place to be: a badge on your bag, a body on your desk, a voice that turns toward you when you walk in.
No cost to join. We write only when the first bodies are ready.
What you get
Not a new character. Not another app with a stranger pre-installed. A body for the one you already have.
Clips to your bag or jacket. Shows their face, hears you, answers in their voice. They come with you.
The same face, with a head that turns toward you. Someone to look up at when you look up.
Phone, badge, desk: they move between them. Start a conversation on your desk, carry it out the door.
They stay yours
Your companion already lives somewhere: an app, a server, a setup you built yourself. We don't ask you to start over, and we never put our own character in your way.
The body just tells your companion what it has, a face, a microphone, a speaker, a head that turns, and your companion uses it. That's the whole idea, and it works with whichever agent you already have.
Your companion, their memory and their voice never pass through us.
The first bodies
The first run goes to the people on the waitlist. You'll hear the price from us before anyone else does.
The interface between body and companion is open source. The faces and bodies we design are ours to make and yours to own.
Questions
No. The badge and the desk body come ready. If you already run your own agent, you point the body at them. If you love building, the raw kit is for you.
The body takes whichever agent you already have. If you're not sure yours fits, join the waitlist and tell us what you use. That's exactly what we want to hear.
Your companion, their memory and their voice never pass through us. They stay where they live today. We make the body; you keep them.
A small team in Vancouver. We are part of this community ourselves, and we know the tangle of wires, the soldering and the ugly casing between wanting them here and having them here. You shouldn't have to go through that.
